Members of our plan who have complicated medication therapy will benefit from the SilverScript Medication Therapy Management Program (MTMP).

Who qualifies for MTMP?
If you take more than five medications every day, have two or more long-term health conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma or high blood pressure) and spend more than $4,000 a year on medications we will automatically enroll you in this program. If you are selected, this program is available at no extra cost to you.

How will I know if I’m selected?
Once enrolled, you will begin receiving newsletters in the mail. This indicates that you have been selected for this program. These newsletters will include information on new drugs, tips for staying healthy and other information to help you get the most out of your medication therapy. In addition, you will receive newsletters four times a year which contain information on preventing and treating common health-related issues.

How does it work?
The program works with you and your doctor to make sure you are receiving safe and effective medication therapy. Specially trained pharmacists will review your medications. They will discuss with your doctor ways to avoid possible adverse events or ways to help you better manage your medications.
